Friday Night Lights return to Madison International Speedway on May 23, 2014 with six different classes of racing. Bandits, Legends, Sportsman, Midwest Trucks and Limited or Super Late Model on Friday Nights! We will have a Triple Crown series for both Limited and Super Late Models.
Each Friday will have four classes racing. Each class of Bandits, Legends, Sportsman, and Midwest Trucks will be off one week a month. Every Friday night we will have either Super Late Models or Limited Late Models racing on Wisconsin's Fastest Half Mile Speedway!
Matt Kenseth will return to Madison International Speedway this summer to race at his home track for the first time in four years.
The Cambridge native will run a 100-lap super late model race on Tuesday, June 17, at the half-mile oval in the town of Rutland. MIS track owner Terry Kunes confirmed Kenseth’s appearance Monday afternoon.
Casey Johnson, Jerry Wood, and Cory Talaska were crowned 2013 MIS Track Champions as drivers in three racing divisions were honored on Saturday, November 9th at the Madison International Speedway banquet that took place at Banushi’s Bar and Grill in Stoughton.
It was the first track championship at Madison for Casey Johnson of Stoughton, Wisconsin, who was crowned the champion of the 2014 Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge. Johnson finished the season with three top five finishes out of four events highlighted by his first-ever super late model feature win at Madison on June 16th. Johnson also notched one fast time and totaled 388 points for the year. His efforts earned him a check for $3000.
