It's Swiss Colony Night at MIS by John Wells This Friday night, August 10th, is Swiss Colony Night at Madison International Speedway. Racing action includes the Weaver Auto Parts Madison Late Models, Rockweiler Insulation Limited Late Models, Roto Rooter Bandits, Legends, and Bandoleros. The Swiss Colony has added money to the Madison Late Model purse for this event. Only four nights of point racing remain on the 2007 schedule at MIS. Bobby Wilberg is looking to double up for the second time in his career at MIS as he is the current leader in both the Madison Late Models and Limited Late Models. Wilberg won both the Super Late Model and ASA Late Model championships back in 2005. Last year he won the Madison Late Model title while finishing runner-up in the Limited Late Models. In his career Wilberg has won or shared fifteen different track championships between Madison and Rockford. Wilberg currently holds a 703-658 advantage over Tom Gille in the Madison Late Models. The race for the Limited Late Model crown is much closer as Wilberg has a sixteen point lead (835-819) over Scott Broughton. Steve Dickson of Rockton, Illinois, is the current point leader in the Bandits with an 830-789 margin over Bobby Selsing Jr. With four races left anything can happen. Make your plans to be at MIS to see how it all plays out. Hot laps on Friday begin at 4:45 with qualifying at 6:30 and racing at 7:30. Fans will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite driver in all three weekly divisions along with selecting the best appearing car.
