Super Late Models

The division that made MIS famous returns for six events in 2012.  See the high flying super late models turn laps in the 17.5 to 18 second range on Wisconsin's Fastest Half-Mile.  These cars are built from the ground up as racing machines and can reach speeds close to 120 mph on the front and backstretch.

A quick look at past racing champions at Madison reveals a Who's Who of the best in the Midwest.  The legendary Dick Trickle leads the way with 72 feature wins followed closely by the late Joe Shear with 66 and Tom Reffner at 58 victories.  NASCAR champion Matt Kenseth was a track champion here in 1994 and has picked up 30 super late model checkered flags at Madison.  Multiple time champions also include such short track stars as Bobby Wilberg, Dave Feiler, Conrad Morgan, Johnny Ziegler and Rich Bickle Jr.

For a complete listing of past track champions and all-time feature winners please check out the Track tab at the top of the page.
